The Queensland round of MD ARA takes place in the rain forests, bushland, lakes and creeks in the spectacular Noosa Hinterland, just 2 hours north of Brisbane. This is one of the most popular events of the series, selling out early in 2012, so make sure you get your entry in early.

 RACE HQ
In 2013 Race HQ for MD ARA Qld will be based at Pomona Showgrounds. It's a great base for an event with camping and catering on site. The showgrounds are located just one minute drive and within walking distance of the town centre and with Mt Cooroora as the backdrop is an idyllic place to stay.

DIRECTIONS

Travelling from Brisbane via the Bruce Highway:
- Turn north off the Bruce Highway at Pioneer Road
- Travel 2km and Turn Right onto Pomona Connection Road
- Continue onto Reserve St & go through the roundabout
- Turn Left onto Factory Street
- Take the 2nd Right onto Exhibition St

PARKING
Parking will be within the showgrounds or on the road outside the showgrounds. Parking is limited and teams are encouraged to car pool where possible.

CAMPING & ACCOMMODATION
 Camping
Overnight camping is available at Pomona Showgrounds and a special area has been set aside for MD ARA participants. Camping is in either tents, caravans or camping trailers. Bookings are essential.

About Pomona Showgrounds
Pomona show grounds is set only a short walk from Pomona township. It has the views of our famous Mt Cooroora. The site caters cater for small or larger groups in either caravans or camping in tents There are walking trails to explore and the famous Majestic Silent Movie Theatre, Noosa Museum and a fabulous Art Gallery for those cultural buffs. There is an exceptional Antique shop, Two Old ladies tea shop which serves a fabulous high tea and a few restaurants and food services that can accommodate all needs.

CATERING
A post event meal is included in the race entry and will be served from the kitchen near Race HQ. Drinks including coffee, hot drinks and cold drinks can be purchased on the day.
